Rats
These prolific breeders are very rarely considered anything but a nuisance. They have an annoying knack of being able live pretty much anywhere too.
Their ability to burrow, jump and climb make them quite the tricky critter to catch.
Why are they a problem?
As mentioned, they’re prolific breeders. This means that even if you have a small infestation, it can quickly double in size.

Mice
Mice are not too dissimilar to rats in appearance but can be noted by their smaller size.
Surprisingly mice are popular as pets all over the world, but an infestation is not something that you would want.
Why are mice a problem?
Mice love to gnaw through wires and anything else they can get their teeth into. You’ll know when mice have moved into your property when you start to hear scuttling in the walls and ceiling, or droppings can be found around your home.

Grey Squirrels
These guys have often been blamed for the decline of Red Squirrels around the country. They usually make their home in dense forests but in more urban areas, they’ll pack together and live in backyards or parks.
Why are they a problem?
They like to nest in trees, but sometimes they’ll take residence in loft spaces. You’ll know if they do because, just like mice, you’ll hear them scuttling around above you.
